David Coyle received his BFA from Tyler School of Art in 1997 and his MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2002. Since completing his graduate studies Coyle's paintings, videos, drawings and digital images have been included in more then twenty exhibitions in the United States and in Europe including "We Need to Talk" at ThreeWalls in Chicago; "Gods and Monsters" at Ambrosino Gallery in Miami; "Chicago" at RAID Projects in Los Angeles; "Tasty Dog" the Suburban at Atelier Top 25, in Krems, Austria; "the Mercury Drops" at The Bower Gallery in San Antonio. His work has been included in Chicago's Stray Show in 2002 with The Suburban, in 2003 with Hixson/Dillon and in 2004 with Miracle Editions. He also acted as co-director/co-curator of The Pond, an artist-run curatorial collective and project space based in Chicago, IL from 2002-2004. In 2006 Coyle will have solo exhibitions at Chicago's Gallery 40000 and at Project Row Houses in Houston.
